Not really. He hasn’t been very good and just botched the 2 pt. Try.

It is possible that he was looking good in the practices and not as good against actual competition. Especially when most of his practices were non-contact practices and 7-on-7 drills

He was changing the play or the coverage. Tells you he saw something.

And the INT was a miscommunication. Haener threw out. WR turned up. To be expected.

The play I liked: both Winston and Haener had the same situation: 3rd down with heavy pressure. Winston heaved a jump ball that’s a INT 90% of the time. Haener made a lane with his feet and threw it 15 yards to a covered WR near his feet where only he could catch it. Looks like he takes what he’s given.

Also the TD pass was under pressure to a covered WR. And he dropped a nice ball over zone coverage up the right side.

Thought he played really well all things considered. His feet will make plays too (had one nice 3rd down run).

He looked OK. Which is fine.

Saying he looked great is quite the stretch.

Winston is your backup
Only good thing is you may be able to sneak Haener on practice squad
