To average 10-6 for a decade is impressive for any team. Especially after decades where eeking above .500 was pretty much our ceiling. Aints no more.

The Pats and other dynasties are extreme outliers. Winning the SB isn’t so easy.

Other than Bill, no active coach has 2 SB wins. That's how hard it is. Doesn't make me feel any better about 2018, but still.

shite happens, still fun to watch them play and got to watch them win a SB. Something I was told my first nearly 30 years of watching them I’d never get to see

With the exception of the Patriots you could argue the Saints are currently the next best franchise in the league.

Not sure why you felt the need to include that. There's no shame in being the second best franchise in the league during the Belichick/Brady era.

Just for reference too, Payton is 2nd only to Belichick as current longest tenured head coach. Then it's Tomlin in '07, Harbaugh in '08, and Carroll in '10 and no one else until 2013.

Yeah the numbers don’t tell the whole story...I’ll argue Denver, SF, and Baltimore have been more successful than us the last 10 years... going 7-9 all those years make it look better than it really was

I'm a Saints fan but LOL at the downvotes. Downplaying the success of the most successful head coach/QB duo of all time isn't a good look.

I wouldn’t call them pointless. We’ve established ourselves as a dynasty. A snakebitten dynasty. Roger is the snake.

Just about every Saints fan realizes we should’ve won 3 Super Bowls in the past 10 years (09, 11, 18). There were other years we maybe had a shot, but we had the best team those other 2 seasons and would’ve won it if not for shite luck.

You could argue the Ravens have been top tier, but we’ve blown the 49ers away record wise over the last decade and the Broncos only great year was when Manning passed through. Again, the past 3 seasons the Saints have the best record in the NFL during the regular season and if the ball bounced our way in the postseason any of those years, we could’ve won another SB.

ETA 49ers are .500 over the last 10 years btw

This makes me happy and all but I can't help to think how we would look if we had some competent defensive coaches in some of these seasons. We have the record breaking GOAT QB and I feel like they missed out on a couple of more super bowls.
