Where Saints rank over the last decade

Regular Season Record in 2010s
5. Saints - 100-60
4. Seahawks - 100-59-1
3. Steelers - 102-57-1
2. Packers - 102-56-2
1. Patriots - 125-35
Not including the 2009 season, where the Saints finished 13-3 and won the SB, the Saints have been a top 5 franchise in the past 10 seasons since then. If you did include the 2009 season then the Saints have the 2nd best record in the NFL over the past 11 seasons.
With the exception of the Patriots you could argue the Saints are currently the next best franchise in the league. Over the last 3 seasons alone, the Saints have more wins than any other team with 37, beating out the Patriots by a game.
We’re as loaded and deep as any team in the league likely headed into Drew’s finale season with an impressive schedule to boot. I’m predicting we keep this dynasty rolling into the 2020 season with a 4th straight division crown.
Who Dat Nation rejoice

We were definitely good enough in 2011 and 2018 to have won a couple more rings. I admit it took me a while to get amped for this season the way we got shafted from the playoffs on the last play of the game 3 straight years. I remind myself though that Bills mafia had to endure losing 4 straight SBs so it could be worse!

Man who dat. Good to be a saints fan!

Saints would be even better without the Bounty Gate suspensions.

The Patriots... lol
Badass that the Saints a top 5 team over the last 11 years. I am lucky they have been mediocre to good basically my entire time as a fan (1998 onward). This is probably insane for those that have been a fan since the really early years

Partially the reason I started the thread. It’s hard to believe for some the Saints have been one of the NFLs best franchises since the beginning of the Brees-Payton era. I’m spoiled since I’m barely old enough to remember anything from the pre-Katrina years.

Diamond hard reading this. Keep going

What he did to this franchise in 2011 is an unforgivable disaster. I’d love the chance to spit in his face. Just hearing his name makes my blood boil.
But man what an incredible time to be a Saints fan. 2005-2011 was an incredible time in my life. Being a college student at LSU for the some of the greatest seasons in both LSU and Saints history at the same time is one hell of a fond memory to look back on.

ZERO Super Bowls to show for it!

You have 160 posts in 14 years and half of them are random pot shots at the saints.
Thanks for your service.

All those pointless wins.
3 heartbreaking playoff losses
Minimum or 2 seasons where we should have won the super bowl

Minimum?
In the past decade, Steelers haven’t won 1, the Packers won 1 right at the beginning, and Seahawks won in 1 7 years ago.
The Pats and other dynasties are extreme outliers. Winning the SB isn’t so easy.
I swear some of you would rather we be the Aints again by being a consistently bottom 5 team.

This bastard and his complicit masters have blocked at least two more Superbowl victories for the Saints.

Since 2000, our worst record was the Katrina season in 2005 (3-13). Outside of that our worst record has been 7-9 (a few times). So minus the one insane season we have been mediocre at worst, and one of the best teams in the league for quite a few seasons.
7-9 ain't pretty, but it's a much better floor than a lot of teams.
