When do player cuts usually happen?

Surely the saints will be cutting some players. Just wondering when we should expect some of that to go down.

Teams normally hold off on cuts before the Super Bowl. On March 12 all teams must be under the salary cap by this date. Expect the cuts to occur between these two dates.
Since we have so much work to do trimming the cap I expect to see the clear cuts in the first couple of weeks after the Super Bowl. After that I expect to see restructuring of contracts or possible additional cuts if no deal could be made.
