Because bringing my flask that is big enough to last all game usually leads to me not remembering the game

right:

had a good feeling about the D-line, especially Jordan and Hicks. Also felt like Bunkley could be a bigger factor (and I think he has been) stopping the run at times. He was misused last year along with s handful of other guys in the Spags disaster.

Was worried about Vilma and was hoping we'd pick an inside backer and add depth at that position. Really wanted to get Alec Ogletree in the draft but whatever... Vaccaro has been fricking solid and I like his scrappiness.

wrong:

I thought we'd finish 10-6, so I'm looking good to be wrong there (I'D BETTER BE WRONG)!!! I felt like with that schedule that it would be real hard.

Wasn't sure what to make of Hawthorne b/c of the confusion from last year and because he missed a lot of time because of injury. He's played pretty well I think. A little inconsistent at times but that is all right, wasn't expecting to be an All-Pro or anything.

Won't lie, I was pissed off and feared the worst when Victor Butler got hurt. I felt like other than Juneyah, we didn't have any capable rushers on the outside. Haralson has been a good addition and I think he's done about as good as we could have hoped for so far. The rush from the interior has been so effective that it has really picked up any slack we have at OLB.

3) I was completely wrong about Jenkins. I thought Harper might find a niche in the defense, but I thought Jenkins was a lost cause. He might actually stick around depending on how much interest he draws in free agency.

I was right about that one. I've always supported him and knew he was a baller. Hope he stays in NOLA.

I thought Nick Toon would make a greater impact on this team this season than Stills. Glad I was wrong about that because Stills is the man!

I was also wrong about Rex Ryan. I honestly didn't think our defense would improve this much, this quickly. But Ryan has done a superb job..which I'm also glad to be wrong about

Right:

-Loved the Stills pickup. Have watched that kid play since his freshman year and always liked what he brought to the table.

-Thought Star would be the best player in the draft. Might be a little early saying this was correct, but he's be an absolute monster.

-Thought Carolina would turn the corner and Cam would play closer to the ROTY version. Cam hasn't made that large of an improvement, but the team overall has.

Wrong:

-Thought RG3 would take his game to the next level, and Kaep would be awesome also. I still think RG3 largely gets the pass this year due to being out of the game for almost an entire year, but Kaep has been hot garbage.

-Thought SP and Brees would absolutely set the league on fire, like beyond rapage. I've been pretty disappointed in SP's playcalling, not at all what I expected. His overall leadership, however, is inarguable.

REALLY Wrong:

-I thought Ryan would be an absolute disaster and wanted no part of him in New Orleans.

REALLY wrong might not do that one justice.

You gotta remember that he was rusty as a play caller when he came back. Still, we have the #2 offense and it's getting better.

Right

Vacarro being a very good pick.
Draft class (and undrafted picks) being one of the best under CSP.
11-5 prediction looking very good so far. Happily soon to be moved into the 'wrong' section.

Wrong

P-Rob contributing a lot.
Def doing good to reach 23rd best
Atl being the only competition in division.
Jenkins suckage
Harper suckage
Hawthorn suckage

Right (didn't really go out on a limb with any of these):

-The impact of Jordan and Galette (though most of us hoped this)
-Stills was a steal.
-DLine would be great to dominant but severely underrated by everyone outside of NOLA.
-Keenan Lewis is a difference maker.
-OLine would struggle without Kromer (I was right for about half of the season, as they seem to be hitting their stride)
-Humber would see more playing time (wrong about the first half, but he's been on the field a lot lately)

Things I was way wrong about:

-Defensive ranking through Week 11 (Like most, top 20 would have been great)
-That the D actually switched to a 3-4 (they have been playing mostly 4-3 or nickel w/ 3 safeties)
-I had lost all hope with Hawthorne
-Ditto for Malcolm Jenkins
-After Greer/Lewis, CBs would struggle (we'll find out what White's made of now)
-PRob would bounce back and have a nice season (injury made me wrong)
-Tez Wilson (enough said)
-My immediate reaction to the Vacarro pick over Jones (although not as bad as others, I did a WTF? on draft night)

ETA: I thought Toon would be a bigger part of the O.

Wrong:
D-Line and the D in general. Way wrong.
Offense would set records having to bail out D.
Vaccaro

Right:
O-Line wouldn't miss Bushrod toward the end of the season.
Keenan Lewis
Martez Wilson is not an NFL starter, and a borderline cut.

Right:

I was opptomistic about our Defensive Line.
I was worried about our Offensive Line and Kromer leaving.
I thought Kenny Stills would be a stud.

Wrong:

Rob Ryan's defense overall. I didn't think they'd be much better than top 20 in points and yardage.

Very happy to be wrong!

Not so much wrong, but I didn't know what to expect from K. Lewis and Vacarro. Both great additions.
