1st ever game was a 1970 pre-season game against the Detroit Lions with my Dad in Tulane Stadium.
We lost 20-7 I believe. I remember the program had Greg something-or-other as the Lions QB, (Landry?) and a bunch of the pictures had afros :)
I remember so many weird things from that day.
How the stadium ramps came up from the ground
and opened to a huge stadium, the end zone shrubs, the Jax Beermen - "Beer Man Heyah !!",
peeing under the stadium behind the supports because the line was too long :), and on the way home - stopping at Burger King on Claiborne. Why did Whoppers look and taste so much better then? That's when they had the 'grinning king sitting on a burger' as their logo :)
My first regular season game was in 1971, the great 24-14 upset of the Dallas Cowboys in Tulane Stadium. Archie scored the clinching TD.
The Cowboys won the Super Bowl that year.
The Cowboys drove right down the field on their first drive, but Hugo Hollas, who had just inherited Archie's #18, intecepted the pass in his own end zone, and the Cowboys were never the same.
That was a great day to be a Saints fan. Ed Staton and Buddy D. wrote about that game in "Gridweek" the next week.
I believe LSU had lost to Colorado 31-21, but then beat the tar out of Florida 48-7.

That's awesome. That is the only pro or college game that my dad and I have been to together. What would it take for me to get a copy of that from you?

1995 against the Panthers

My first game was the first regular season game, against the Rams. My dad liked to play it to the last possible second, so we got to the game and missed Gilliam's TD on the opening kickoff...was getting a hamburger.
My dad and I had season tickets. What was amazing was my tickets were $1 apiece (for kids).

I know, there were a million and a half people in Tulane Stadium for the opening game, but I really was there! What an electric atmosphere! My dad was an football freak and bought us season tickets for the first couple of years. They offered student tickets for $1.50 a game. Crazy cheap price even back then!

1967 against the hapless Pittsburgh Steelers in TooLame Stadium.
I was 7 years old and the daughter of Saints TE Dave Parks was in my class at Clifton Ganus School

First ever game: 1967 preseason finale vs. Atlanta. Back then, they played 6 preseason games and only 1 was played at Tulane Stadium that year, all the others were away. (If memory serves, I think that one of the other preseason games was played in Shreveport.)
First regular season game: 1967 vs. Pittsburgh, Saints blow a 10 - 0 late and lose 14 - 0. To this day, I remember my dad saying afterwards, "I hope that doesn't become a trend with these guys."
First ever road game: 1971 at Houston. Saints and Oilers end up tied at 13.

1998 Saints vs Faulk and the Colts. I remember we won to start the season 3-0.
After the game my mom took me to Burbon St.
I think we lost our next three games.
Either you watched the game on TV or you took the Concorde back home - because that game was played in Indianapolis. I remember it well, because Hurricane Georges was descending on New Orleans as the game was being played.

I couldn't tell you. My dad used to have season tickets through the radio station he worked at. I was like 7 or 8 so it would have been '78 or 79 for my first game...

What was your first Saints game?
ETA: The first one I remember was against the ST. Louis Cardinals. I think Stabler got hurt in that one and was carted off of the field maybe.

Not sure what year, but it was Saint's vs 49ers and we lost 14-7. I was less than 8 so it was in the mid 80's.
Great time though.... Thanks Dad

My first game was October 4th 1981. It was my 11th birthday and my dad brought my family to the game. We sat wayyy at the top, but I was thrilled to be there. I remember thinking, my dad spent alot of money for 5 tickets ($10 a piece). We lost to the Steelers 20-6. Thanks pop!!

I DID NOT go to any of the preseason games that first year. First game was THE first regular season game.
