The Super Bowl in 06 was Jerome Bettis retiring. The one in 2008,Obama elected. It was fitting that Tomlin gets there and wins again.

A new stadium doesn't guarantee a SB but it does guarantee success. See Detroit and Houston. Neither of those teams represent the NFL in terms of fans, merchandise sold etc. Dallas is a big market but Jerry has that new stadium sold out with a mediocre team. They don't need to win the Super Bowl.

What this tells me is Goodell will do right by the saints next season and manufacture us a "hard earned trip to the SB." Will be a great story line. Saints were destined, they will wear out the "no-call" from this year, Saints were on a mission, resilient city, who dat nation, etc....

So the Saints either need a new stadium or another catastrophic hurricane to get back to the Superbowl? That's unfortunate.

LaToya Cantrell becoming Mayor doesn't qualify as a catastrophe?

I know...poli board.

Well, Las Vegas is in the process of building a new stadium. So, in either 2019 or 2020, dump some $$$ on the Raiders.

There appears to be a maximum 4 year window. Sometimes the NFL has other 'commitments' lined up. Could be as late as 2024
