There are supposedly a decent amount of teams who prefer Jordan Love. If Love is the 3rd QB taken, we could see a Aaron Rodgers-like slide for Herbert. Might have to jump a few spots to get in front of the Pats, but he could be gettable. I don’t care for Love, but Herbert would tempt me.

I know big picture for the organization it could make sense, but I just can't see wasting a first round pick on someone that isn't going to play in what is possibly Brees last year. Have to get a contributor.

Agreed! We need someone to help us win a Super Bowl next year. In. Addition, Herbert wasn’t that great at Oregon and has high bust potential. He is one of those guys that looks like a stud but plays like a dud. I’m a poet and I didn’t even know it.

I really don't care for either of those guys on the saints. I'd rather make a crazy move for the right guy when we absolutely have to.

Normal situations you look ahead a year if you can afford to. But this year we can't afford to. Every pick needs to be to help this team. I won't care if we give up some picks next year to help this year. It's superbowl or bust.

no, he made a routine of throwing more passes to the defense then to his WR

raw talent means nothing when you are that much of a turnover machine

Better chance that Tua is the one that slides, based off recent smoke

I’d run to the podium for Tua.

Then it’s a 15 yard penalty if you hit him.

If he slides, he is less likely to get injured.

Of course they both won't play in Brees final season, I think he's talking about the future with either one of these guys. Developing them for the future with their potential and all and what they both bring to the table, but I do think that Herbert is a potential bust. Love has great playmaking ability because he can both throw and run, but I don't see the Saints taking either one of these guys even if they did drop. Taysom Hill looks to be the future after Brees!

Matt Miller reported that many scouts/sources have Tua as the 3rd or even 4th qb on the board. Not only bc of his injury but also bc he had so much talent around him that attributed to his success.

Herbert rushed for more yards than Love through out his career and had a faster 40 time. I don’t like Herbert or Love but Herbert is just as athletic if not more. Also I think Love is Jameis Winston 2.0. Bad decision maker.

Then I would ask...why did he slide?
