I can easily see the Saints going all in again to acquire Lamar Jackson.

I would, but I don’t think the Ravens will entertain it unless the relationship deteriorates even more

Lamar is a depreciating asset at qb at an age where qbs are entering their prime.

He will never be as fast as he was earlier in his career, he will continue to heal slower, and much of his game is based on his ability to be the best athlete on the field.

Would you want a 31 year old Lamar Jackson having to come back multiple scores in a game without elite athleticism having to only use his arm? There’s a chance that he has a second act of his career where he develops into a McNair, Young type passer but I don’t think I’d want to give up the draft capital AND contract to find out.

It can be done if he is willing. Lots of guys have changed their styles later in their career. Is he willing is another question

People like to knock Lamar for his deficiencies and with good reason. But his best WR has been a TE and Baltimores franchise leader for a WR is 5,777 yards.

They dont do alot in the way of WRs to help out their guy.

He just turned 26 last week and is one of the best middle of the field passers in the league. He’s fine.

Its going to cost a ton so i get the skepticism.

But ive had enough of the Winston's, Hill's, Daltons. Get us a Franchise QB

You can't trade for a free agent

Give me ole Lamar Smith, cheaper. Throw in a couple halfback passes and they play the same position lol

So he's an UFA. What's a realistic offer that he would accept?

ETA... forgot franchise tag

Do the Saints even have a farm to trade anymore?

Philly has the Saints' #1 pick this year as well as their 2nd round pick next year. I doubt the Ravens would want Thomas and his contract. Especially without QB. All the Saints really have to offer is players.

Jackson would want a fully guaranteed deal like Watson. So whatever he got, add 10%.

They'd have to wait for a Sean Payton trade to happen first.

You'd have to combine a few years worth of picks plus some players (probably Kamara)

It’s going to cost several first round picks to trade for Lamar Jackson. So if for whatever reason we don’t have 2023, you pay a premium(extra 2’s or something) to bump it back a year.

Not saying the Ravens would accept, but it’s not impossible.

They thought they were a QB away before this season. Hopefully they've figured out they aren't going into this offseason.
