This but I can see signing him to a contract alot like the one Jenkins just had and Mathieu would probably give you everything he did and a little more.

This is why I don't see it happening. They could've just paid marcus Williams who covers more field than any safety in the entire nfl.

I mean he had a better year than cgj but I agree that I wouldn't sign him for 10 mil.
The chiefs didn't even offer him a contract. That speaks volumes.
He will be 30 when the season starts and isn't the same player.
I do think the saints need to draft another safety within the first 4 rounds.

He was offered a 1 yr 8 mil deal with most of it guaranteed from the Steelers.
