Isn't it expected the Saints will lose their 2023 3rd compensatory credit for Armstead going to the Dolphins because they signed Dalton?
Yes. Our front office doesn't just mismanage the cap.

Who should our backup QB be then? We know you don't think it's Hill, so you were good with going with Book as the #2?

Are those the only 2 options?

he signed a 1 year $3 million dollar contract to be our backup and gives us a shot to win if Jameis goes down
you're just an emotional crybaby who wants to bash the front office without being held accountable to your shitty takes
Who would you have signed who could actually keep us in contention and wouldn't affect the compensatory formula?

If Jameis goes down, we won't be in contention, so I don't really care. Should have just re-signed Siemian.
We're scraping by being in contention by projecting Jameis to do well this year (and the NFC being dogshit terrible).
The primary reason fans and our front office is so focused on being non-shitty this year is because we already gutted our 2023 draft. Dalton's effects on our comp picks is basically extra cost for the Olave deals.

That’s cute and everything….
But both Nick Underhill and Jeff Duncan said that he’s been refusing to listen to coaches, mouthing off at practice….and sounds like he’s being a contrarian arse
I think you can relate to that last part….it’s kind of your schtick

We were in contention last year with Book, Taysom, and Siemian

This team has made it clear at least since 2017 that they are not going to mismanage the roster and not have a viable backup at QB.
They are in contention every single season and that's how they run this football team. They make it clear win-now is their philosophy by trading up every other year as well

2021?
If Trevor was viable in 2021 he's viable in 2022.

For a super bowl? No

For the playoffs, absolutely?
And while no, I didn't see anyway we would have made the Super Bowl, I would have liked to had the chance to try.

You act like Taysom got the $140 million from that contract… he’s getting $40m because he isn’t listed as a QB… learn to read

Only good if you just want to lose by a little Slow.
