We hired the defensive version of Norv Turner.

Nice guy, good defensive coordinator but doesn’t have the demeanor to be a HC. Biggest disappointment is the defense is so bad. I figured the offense would take a step back, but didn’t think the defense would be this bad.
He wasn’t my first or second choice and it’s sucks he will get a 2nd year to waste.

My preference would be to fire him after this season, too, but I agree with you they will likely keep him. The good news about this, though, is that really the team can't start the rebuild until 2024 anyway.
The cap this offseason is going to be the worst year we've had (only about $55M over, but we have far less 'easy moves' to create space than we have before) and we don't have a first round pick. If we maneuver the cap right this offseason and don't trade our 2024 first, we will actually be in a position to start rebuilding after next season.
So it might be in our best interest to just keep Allen, let him suck again next year and get a top 10 draft pick for our next coach to use on a player he wants.
