It was a tough loss in the moment but hell of a game and still think Saints have a great shot this year!

that's the thing that blew my mind about the meltdown on the forums...our D has essentially made 1 major mistake this year, and it cost us a game - aside from that we are light years better - yet you would swear it was last year all over again.

Thracken, agreed. The Saints are a legit team this year that have the potential to beat or hang in there with anyone!
The only thing that's been annoying has been some of the fanbase whining after a close loss about a "mythical 4th timeout" and the non-holding call.

We have a great team this year but losses suck no matter your record. Give people time to get over it, it's a bye week so it'll take longer.

They also have a 2.5 game lead on their closest competitor in the division in Carolina and are 2-0 in the division. Carolina still has to play @SF, @MIA, @ATL, @NO, @ TB, and the Pats. Their only two wins have come against teams that are a combined 1-10.
A win by Arizona on Thursday night would go a long way to helping ease the Saints fans' worries.

They allowed more than 17 points against New England. The performance in the final minutes of that game was awful.
