I remember watching some breakdowns last year and people were in shock at the saints route trees. We’d have 3 guys running one route.

Pete was Payton offense without Payton. Payton was more of a game time caller and risk taker. Payton had a better feel for the game. I don’t think Carmichael had the same feel for the game.

Yes Pete was bad. He had even said that he wasn’t interested in the job at first but they gave it him anyway. There’s a reason why he was only a coordinator for 17 years and never moved on. He was just a clipboard carrier for Payton
