Since no one liked my Jim Harbaugh suggestion last year and wanted Allen, thought I’d offer up another name no one mentions on here. I’d monitor the situation with Vrabel. They just fired their gm and the new one may want to start fresh with his own guy. Plus he’s been there a few years and may want a change. Defensive coach but unlike Allen, has never had a losing season yet. Long shot but crazy shite happens.

New GM isn’t going to want to come in and fire a very successful and young head coach

Speaking of defensive coaches, is Brian flores toxic? He was pretty good at Miami

Was he? He left and Tua is now MVP caliber.

Can we just not discuss any possibilities other than offensive coaches? I'm not saying that's what will happen with certainty but its the only thing that excites me.

Well, they added one of the best lt and wr, their leading rusher, their 3rd leading wr, and a one of the best c/g in the nfl. Other than that, pretty much same offense

Armstead 77.0
Hill 92.6
Mostert 69.5
Wilson 63.0
Connor Williams 77.5

That's pff scores, so yeah, they've added a little

You don't hire a defensive HC to run a team with a good QB these days. I don't get the fascination with Flores. Miami fired him for a reason.

Yea we need to go the Miami, Minnesota, NYG route and go with an innovative offensive mind.

While I prefer an offensive HC, I think it's extremely dumb to just disqualify coaches bc they're defensive. Here's some defensive HCs...

Belichick
Vrabel
Carroll
Rivera
McDermott
Tomlin
Harbaugh
Saleh

Some pretty good coaches in that group

Brian Flores is who many people wanted. Probably the same people that wanted Russell Wilson. Washed up.

You wouldn't have taken russell Wilson? 100+ passer rating the last 4 years, and it's dropped to 83.5 this season. You have incredible foresight or more likely 20/20 hindsight

this ^^^^^

it cannot be overlooked that tua was a worse QB than baker mayfield while he was there, and now tua is a top 10 QB so why would you want him with that track record

Do you think adding 2 borderline elite olinemen, a good rb, a good wr, and the best wr in the nfl helped him, along with experience?

Define "pretty good."

Was it the below .500 record overall?

Was it isolating players and throwing them under the bus routinely?

Was it blackballing himself from future jobs with that lie about Elway and Broncos staff and another likely lie about Stephen Ross and Miami?

Brian Flores is un-fricking-touchable. He's an a-hole.

5-11
10-6
9-8

I usually forgive 1st season unless it's a good team

Vrabel and the GM had beef. Them firing the GM was a commitment to Vrabel. Whoever they hire as GM will be an accountant/puppet for Vrabel.

Some people cant see the forest from the trees. All they
look at is win loss record and not the talent or admin.
Pro spoerts is all about aquiring talent .If the front
office sucks so usually does the team. Flores didn`t have
the talent the new coach has.Come on people if your going to post at least be informed.

This is how most of the board talked themselves into Allen when his Raiders record was brought up……Fool me once….

And Flores situation is way too toxic to touch. With the shite calls we get now, you want someone that sued Goodell, lied about a few things and played the race card? Hard pass…..

I'd take Harbaugh in a second. Better?
