. And I'm sure he knows his conrtact is too large. You think his skills are too far gone for the NFL?
I for one want him back to back up the MLB spot.

I personally think Vilma will be back in a Saints Uniform. He will restructure, if not the Saints will cut him. He'll test the market but there won't be much of a market for Vilma . The Saints will offer a small contract w/ a 1 to 2 yr deal.

Ummm... wouldn't the messenger be a key as to whether or not the message is even valid to begin with??

Then when asked if the player's comments were wrong, Vilma said, "That's not the question or the point. If he's man enough to tell you, he should be man enough to put his name on it. And you should do the same."

Would Vilma be concerned with who said it if he agreed with them? I think not.

Would Vilma ever act as an anonymous pussy is the more valid question.

Holder chose the venue when he tweeted. Not Vilma.

Maybe...but why is he doing it? He has to know he's finished.

Maybe, but if he's willing to renegotiate his deal and lower his cap number he could be a good fit. He's younger than many great defensive players who laster 12+ years at a high level. Near as I can remember his only real problem has been that knee injury. With a year of very limited hits and injuries plus this offseason to train why can't he come back and perform at a high level? I don't see the saints drafting or signing enough playmakers at LB to make Vilma a throw away. I see him right now at worst as the 2nd best LB on the roster.

Plus, he epitomizes what the organization likes to tout as 'high character guys' in the locker room.

Media coverage of any sport in this town - and state for that matter - is an utter joke. I can think of only a couple of real professionals who didn't act like sycophants to the local teams, their players, and their coaches: Peter Finney and Buddy Diliberto.

The writing, analysis, and commentary by the media is so far below what should pass for professionalism that I usually laugh them off once they get past the who, what, where, and score.

Many local media outlets are now trying to pass off glorified bloggers as 'sports journalist'. Nearly all of these clowns wouldn't last a day in a legitimate media market.

Word

A fat miserable prick like Larry holder is covering the saints and two assholes who cannot even speak English somehow headline the afternoon radio slot on the (get this) official radio station for an NFL team

I've been thinking about this all year. NOLA media is a joke. That's why I laugh that jay glazer, a guy who covers 32 NFL teams does a better job of covering the saints than the TP and WWL combined.

I'm assuming because it's not even an issue that needs to be dealt with. Sean Payton is going to come back into this lockerroom and restore some order, blee dat.

Sean Payton is one hell of a coach, and I think he will deal with this quickly and severely.

Well that's not just because of his hard work it has to do with being Payton's friend and media mouthpiece.

Any time a writer goes with an "Anonymous Source", it raises the question of whether the writer himself is manufacturing the story.

I kind of like Holder, but is there any information that supports his assertion? In this day and age, manufactured reporting is much too common.

No kidding. Anyone remember the last time the local NOLA media legitimately broke any significant Saints news? That's right, never.
