I disagree with the QB position, as I think McCown is the backup and Griffin will go to the PS.

I agree. I thought Wallace would get every opportunity to earn the #2 spot to keep a guy who can run on the team to practice against but if he ever had to actually play

To be fair, they have given him every opportunity, but he hasn't performed very well...

I doubt we only keep 2 TE's.

Would be pleased with that WR group.

That and the second team o-line was playing like trash, although McCown managed to play well with them.

Martez Wilson, Eric Martin, Will Smith, Junior Galette, Rufus Johnson, Chris Chamberlain, David Hawthorne, Ramon Humber, Curtis Lofton
Toughest group to decide who stays and goes imo. Still have Vilma, Atkins, Thomas and Reddick to choose from.

9 OL? I doubt Smith makes this team.

We never keep 9. It's obvious Smith will be gone but the rest are probably right(maybe the backup C/G could be someone else).
And we always keep 3 TEs so Higgins takes Smith's spot.
Other stuff I see that I don't agree with(like the McCown thing; he will be the backup) but the OL/TE was the easiest to call out.

*Right off the bat*, the QB projection casts doubt on the judgement used to create this depth chart. McCown hasn't been spectacular, sure, but there's no way the Saints to with a rookie backup. Plus, McCown *has* been rocking it as the holder on kicks. Barring injury, he's the guy.
He s no worse than Mark Brunell was, and Mark was good enough to ack Drew up in the championship season.

McCown showed enough in week one, and has the experience I want as the backup. Griffin looked good last night, but no way the Saints would trust him at #2, no question he is headed to PS. I hope Tanner makes the roster, he has the heart & soul you love to see in a player, even though ne may not have the pure talent of the others.

McCown will be the backup, if Brees for some reason has to miss a series I'd want him to come in over Griffin. Now if Brees was to ever get a long term injury and we were out of playoff contention I'd want to see Griffin get some time just to see.

I personally feel more confident in McCown as the backup than Daniel
No offense to Daniel and he's had some nice drives in preseason, but I like our backup situation now better

I could see them using an OT (possibly armstead) a lot as a blocking TE and then only keeping Graham and Watson.

Eric Olsen and Tim Lelito has a better chance of making the team than Jason Smith. That dude is done in the NFL.
