-Rams will be fighting for a playoff spot when they play the 49ers. Seahawks will be fighting for the division when they meet.

-Packers could actually lose all 3 of those games. They haven’t impressed.

-We can’t overlook that Titans game.

We’re actually not in a bad position.

during the superbowl season the Bears beat the Vikings to deliver us the ! seed. Maybe history repeats itself?

Looking at that, the Saints are pretty much locked into the 3 seed. I think there’s a good chance the Rams get in the playoffs over the Vikings, setting up a first round rematch of last year’s NFC Championship game.

The Packers are playing the Bears..When betting always leave that game alone..

Who knows the Falcons could come out and play a decent game against the 49ers.

Sounds like I’ll ironically be rooting for the Vikings and Rams the rest of the way.

We’re actually not in a bad position.

the Seahawk loss tonight really put us in a good spot for at least a 1st round bye

we win out... then get a loss from either SF or GB... we're at worst the 2

ETA: and both SF & GB have lose-able games remaining on their schedules

for GB you can target either vs. CHI... but mostly @ MIN who will be fighting for their playoff lives

SF has both LAR & SEA remaining... both games they can lose

How do you figure?

The Saints just need the niners to lose to Seattle and we lock up the 2nd seed if we win out (I'm assuming we own any tie breakers with Green Bay)

Yep and if they both lose a game which is definitely possible, we are the number 1 seed

Well, you’re wrong about that right off the bat due to conference record.

If the Saints and GB are tied record wise, what is the tie breaker?

What if there is a three way tie with us, Seattle, and Green Bay all division winners? Is the tiebreaker conference record or head to head?

the Saints... unfortunately... will lose the tiebreaker to GB if both teams win out

GB would be 10-2 vs. NFC teams while the Saints will be 9-3 vs. the NFC

advantage: Packers

3 way tie I'm not as clear... so for this post I'm assuming all 3 teams win out and finish 13-3

I know if it was head to head between the 3 teams... Saints beat Seahawks & Packers didn't play either team

if it's record against their respective divisional opponents
Packers 6-0
Saints 5-1
Seahawks 5-1

if it's conference record
Packers 10-2
Seahawks 10-2
Saints 9-3

ETA: I would think... but not at all sure about this... that the Saints holding a H2H win over SEA would "eliminate" Seattle and drop them to the 3 seed and then NO & GB go into a tiebreak against each other... which GB would win... making the standings

1) GB
2) NO
3) SEA

but if it seeds all 3 from conference record

1) GB
2) SEA
3) NO

We kind of need the Seahawks to win out at this point which they can.

49ers can drop a game or two left I believe. Gotta hope Seattle upsets them at home for the #1 seed.

Packers could lose next two games, bears and Vikings fighting for their lives. Minnesota is also undefeated at home so that bodes well for us. Packers are the team we need to lose the most. Them winning essentially ruins our chances of a bye.

The H2H in a 3 way tie only applies if 1 team has played the other 2. Since GB doesn't play us or Seattle, it goes tonconference record. With the worst conference record, Saints would be 3rd.

Head to head only applies if 1 team played the others. Since that didn’t happen, it goes to conference record. The Saints lose again.
