As far as some of the rookies that have a chance to make a big jump up the depth chart...I like:

-TE Dylan Soehner (udfa) has a chance to pass up Garrett Griffin & Ethan Wolf for #3 TE.

-WR Kawaan Baker (7th round) has a chance to pass up Juwan Johnson, Lil’Jordan Humphrey, Jake Lampman, Jalen McCleskey for #5 WR.

-The 3 udfa CB's (Trill Williams, Bryce Thompson, & Lawrence Woods) have a chance to pass up Grant Haley & Keith Washington for #4/#5/#6 CB.

-DT Josiah Bronson (udfa) has a chance to pass up Malcolm Roach, Jalen Dalton, Ryan Glasgow, & Christian Ringo for #3 DT.

At minimum...he should help out against the run. Any pass rush we get is just extra imo. At least, that's the way I look at it.

Thomas might have to catch 200 balls this year

Don't sleep on Trautman.

Chances are that 1 of Tre'Quan, Callaway, & Deonte Harris will step up this year as well imo.

Just saw this on cbssports & thought I'd post it here. Pete Prisco's updated NFL Power Rankings... LINK

Saints - #18

It's all about the quarterback position. It's Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill fighting for the job. The Saints fans better hope it's Winston who wins it.

This last season Callaway seemed the best option of these 3. Just had those injury issues. We have been waiting on TreQuan to take that next step I just don't think it will happen. We all know Deonte is a burner but can he effectively stretch the field as a WR? Not sure he has the route running ability or hands to be a slot threat but we will see

Have you seen anything about expanded rosters and/or PS due to the 17th game. Everything I search keeps pointing me to the 2020 expanded COVID rosters.

Tre quan will do better with jameis as the qb.
I like callaway. He is more or a #3 receiver though. I love his hands and his football i.q.

Landon Young, not Turner.

Great initial stab at the roster. Not as terrible as I first imagined.

A vet corner, vet LB, and another WR are the only additions we must have. I expect Trautman to have a monster year, but wouldn't be upset with another receiving TE.

For all we lost, this team is still very stout.

Surprised this wasn't a discussion with the March owner meetings, or the competition committee meetings. Doesn't seem like there are any other meetings between now and the start of the season; hopefully they at least keep the same roster rules from 2020 in pace.

I really wish they would go back to the 2 bye weeks, and limit the Thursday night games to teams coming off of a bye. Prefer they do away with the Thursday night games, but they are too successful, from an audience perspective, for that to be a reality.

QB who knows but I have hope Winston will be a pro bowl guy w Sean. Wish Taysom would just commit to being a TE/H Back

WR we have potential but it’s thin and could use a cheap vet. I do think Winston will help guys like Calloway, Smith and Harris open up their route tree and suit their skills better

Really like where we are at RB, next year I think we need to spend a high pick to replace Murray

OL looks great. Hurst a great swing backup and I love Landon Young as a depth guy

TE we need better depth behind Trautman

DE Really like where we are here. We have 4 guys who can play a lot,

DT we need a run stopping vet DT to give us 25 snaps. Really intrigued by Bronson as our 4th guy behind Onyematta, Tuttle and Roach

LB Davis and we have to hope Werner really hits. Behind that we are very unproven and need someone to step up. Would be great to sign Kwon cheap and have him come in and help us, especially on passing downs.

Corner has great depth, love the upside of Adebo as our boundary corner, but think we must sign a proven starter so we aren’t relying on Adebo right away.

Safety is great, both the starters and depth

ST I guess punter is really the only question here

Early 53 Man Roster Projection

Can we please get a 59 man roster.

Extra week of football and who knows how many more playoff games will get added.
