Ok here is the latest from 2 of the top ranked mockers out there.

Ok first is Ben Standig which is ranked 7th over the last 5 years in accuracy

Ben Standig Mock 9.0

Then here is Forrest Longs, he is ranked 2nd over the last 5 years in accuracy

Forrest Long

Both have us taking a Tight End even though its two different tight ends.

Tight end in the first round is like taking a punter...unless that tight end is Keith Jackson and he stays with the team his entire career.

Think I want Dallas over those two if we roll TE.

Hurst is gonna be a gamer. If no one incredible falls he is a good pick. Will open up the offense even more. Him and thomas working the middle will give kamara so much space to play in

This. I think he has the highest ceiling of the three and can reach it quickly in a setting like this

Played SEC ball. With a shitty qb. Plus he can block. Ive seen him block sec defensive ends. Dont think the other two can help there

They’re just goin on what the have to work with. We’ve gone after a few TE this FA period and we could be considered thin there for what we like to do on offense.

I agree but I just don't see the freaks still being there at 27. If landry or Davenport fall I hope we run to the podium to draft them. As far as TEs go I'm kinda torn between Goedert and Hurst.. I'm not sold on Gesecki and he can't block.

If TE Fumagali is there in rnd 5.....round 1 is already over.

Fumagelli would be nice in 5th round. He is a solid TE. I feel like someone we least expect will fall into our laps in round one.

If Payton wants a TE with our first pick, I feel he will drop down in the early 2nd for this guy and hopefully add another decent pick.

Trying to predict the back end of the draft is absolutely impossible, and I just don't see the Saints going for a TE in the 1st round when a decent one will be there in the 3rd or 4th.

Reviewing draft history, not many TEs taken in the first round have panned out for their team that selected them. Some exceptions being Shockey, Olsen, and Vernon Davis.

I guess it could happen, but I just don't see it. I don't think the Saints feel there is a big enough gap in talent between the TE's who will likely be available at the end of the 1st relative to those who may be available at the end of the 3rd. Plus, other than Grahm, the Saints have tended to go with more veteran TE's.

I get the feeling Payton is going to love someone at another position better than a TE at that spot. A TE like Ian Thomas might be someone to look for in the 3rd round. He could be similar to Graham in that he's raw, but athletic, and someone who might just be scratching the surface of his ability. Might be a guy you kind of work in while Fleener and Watson handle the load

Hurst would be a rookie at 25 years old?

Pass.
