Hear me out. Is he the best player on the roster? Yes

Do the Saints need picks? Yes

No money for big time free agents? Definitely

I'd trade him for the right picks. Pittsburgh has been good for years from drafting players and developing them Tampa Bay will be done in 2 years. No way Brady can sustain success. Eventually, age is going to get him. Signing Wilson,/Rodgers or acquiring Jimmy G solves nothing. It's an obvious rebuild due to the fact Loomis and Payton held on to noodle arm 9 way too long. Rebuild, and come back.

Why not just move the team while we’re at it?

In a world in which saintsreport.com exists, this board manages to be worse.

Pittsburgh has been good after the free agent era. Only time they sucked was with Bubby Brister and Mark Malone as qb. 3 coaches since 1969 says it all, and I can't stand them.

And keep paying 7 as your qb at that salary? Buddy D thinks you're a total squirrel.

People thought the Saints were crazy for trading Graham when they did. Coming off of one of his best seasons but he started showing some pretty major flaws (getting knocked off his routes at the LOS and his inability to learn to block).
Now I would be pretty annoyed if they traded Kamara. But, at the end of the day if you aren't contending next year or the year after due to talent deficit wouldn't it make sense to go ahead and trade him while he's at his high-water mark in trade value?

Not saying it's the right move, the FO would have to have something additional they see about Kamara that we aren't seeing (attitude, discipline, locker room, etc) to justify the trade. Everything I've heard about him would indicate nothing of the sort, so if he's still good I say you keep him.

Not only is he the best player but the cap hit would be crippling...that's just bad

That's not impossible. When they go 5-12 for 3 straight with 40k, let me know. Where were the Saints "fans" prior to 2006? Don't give me the Katrina nonsense. This model and their product will not work. I refuse to hear covid and injury excuses

Who do you think would trade for Kamara and what do you think they’d give up?

The pick was garbage for sure, but you are failing to mention we got Max Unger, who was one of the best centers in the NFL when we got him and while he was here.

Dallas traded Herschel, the team's best player and got many many picks from Minnesota. . The Saints gave up a top pick for Steve Walsh in 1990. Anything is possible. Everyone is for sale
