I say exclude the super bowl because at least two or three could be taken from that game alone (porter's pick 6, onsides kick, and moore's 2 pt conversion).

1. River City Relay
2. Brees's INT/Meachem's Strip for a TD in Washington
3. Reggie Flies (Either in Pittsburgh or Miami)
4. 2001 Deuce's passing TD to Big Play Willie J in Atlanta (the day after LSU beat Tennessee in the SEC champ. in that same Georgia Dome)*

*Special place in my heart because I was at both games

What else?

I know we lost but reggie's catch/run against the bears in the nfccg was pretty good

I wish I had links to these plays:

-1993 vs. Falcons
Lorenzo Neal had a 74 yard touchdown run that was memorable. He ran it up the middle, looked like he was going to get brought down but kept his feet moving and busted loose.

-Also Eric Martin had a wicked stiff arm on Falcons safety Scott Case. The play didn't go for a TD but it was bad arse.

-2001 vs. Rams
Fell behind 24-6 but came up with a bunch of turnovers to get back in the game. Sammy Knight had a nice INT. He came up like he was going to blitz but stayed around the line of scrimmage when the play started he must have known where Warner was going with the ball, he bats the pass in the air with one hand and pulls it down for the pick.

-Also loved the Aaron Brooks bomb to Willie Jackson for the touchdown off a play action fake.

-2006 vs. Falcons
Terrance Copper pulls down a hail mary from Brees as the first half comes to an end

1. Brees to Reggie swing pass NFCCG
2. Saints goal-line stand in Pittsburgh to guarantee first winning season (1987)
3. Meachem strip and score in Washington
4. Sammy Knight's crazy pick in St. Louis v's the mighty Rams deep in their territory.
5. River City Relay

I like and remember this one as well. Big win and amazing comeback. This will supplant what I previously had for #5 (Shockey's catch and rumble in Miami)

Good play but I don't think it matters ultimately since it didn't help our seeding and we lost to 6-9 Seattle.

1995 vs. 49ers
On an extra point attempt, there was a botched snap and Tommy Hodson ended up throwing to Wesley Walls for a two point conversion. We won 11-7 Not a significant victory but in those days wins over the 49ers were not easy.

Maybe but to be fair if the judgement of plays is how it effects what happens later in the season/playoffs then there is a couple we need to take out of your top 5

This has to got to be #1. That's the most insane play I've ever seen. Probably just general series of events

Those are pretty great. I was just thinking, although I've followed the team since its inception, I realize that I think of anything pre-Katrina as ancient history. Not quite Pleistocene, but maybe pre-historic.

I didn't like football before around 07. Started watching LSU and then the Saints. Been a fan since. The most memorable Saints plays for me: Meachem strip for TD
Shockey's Miami long catch,
Malcolm Jenkins strip
Fleur-de-leap
Bush's dinking and juking vs the Cards in 09 playoffs. That TD was ridiculous and shows what Bush can do if he plays with his mind right.

This one was actually a VERY significant play in that game, Dallas had a drive going and the Saints were running out of clock

In fact, the game is over right then if he doesn't strip the ball.

This has to got to be #1.

For me also because I was there and freezing my arse off. The place went nuts when that happened.
