I wouldn’t worry about the cap number. Saints can easily make room.

Agreed. The money available is not an issue. If they want, they will make room.
What I don't want is a bidding war. I hope they treated this the same way they did with Jimmy. Here's our price, if LA offers more, then "thanks for visiting".

Its looking like highest bidder between the three teams. The Jets knew they were just going to be used for leverage and got the hell out of dodge.

As said this means nothing. We can have more cap than the Rams by restructuring Jordan and Warford for a combined $9.7 mil.
And unless the Rams get crazy that would be more than enough to fit Suh on this year's cap, and we have plenty of room next year too.

Never said they didn't. I said we have plenty of room for Suh. He isn't getting over $16 mil per and we can make that much room this year and have that much room next year.
So it means jack the Rams have more unless they go crazy and give Suh something stupid like $25 mil per.

Why? It's not like he's holding us some from targeting some big time FA. Even if he's settled on the Rams, it's not a bad thing for us to drive up the money that they'll have to pay him. The Jets are a shitshow that won't be competing for a while, so they didn't have much of a benefit in doing it. The Rams will be a legit SB contender in the foreseeable future, so we should hurt them any way we can.
I get that a lot of people here are anxious for the situation to wrap up, but that's no reason to do anything foolish with the negotiations. Fortunately, I'm sure that the front office isn't making any rash decisions just because Suh is taking longer than they'd like.
