Saw this on Twitter.
First 4 seasons.
Assuming the numbers are correct, hmmm.
Thoughts?

I wouldn't want either as my starting QB

JW was injured so I'll take him. Mayfield is a train wreck

Actually, Mayfield was the one who was injured.
Tore his labrum in week 2 in 2021 and played all season with it.

Are you suggesting Jameis wasn't injured last year?

Last year was NOT one of the first 4 years of Jameis’ career.

One of them wears the black and gold so I'm gonna root for him
The other is a huge douche

I respected Baker for playing hurt last year.
He's been up and down his whole career.
We still don't know what we really have with Jameis.
Jameis is well liked on the Saints. But say it was Baker and I'm not so sure he would be as popular.
I hated seeing Jameis get hurt last year after the start he got off to.
Was kinda hoping Baker would go to Seattle.
The Panthers got Baker at such a discount.
Darnold will actually get paid more
LMAO

JW is currently on an upward trajectory, having been tutored by Brees and coached by SP the past two years. This is his 3rd straight year playing within the same system since college. A better sample of what we should expect from JW is what we witnessed this past season. Throw in the playmakers we signed this offseason, I feel comfortable expecting Winston to solidify himself as one of the top QBs in the NFC.

European-American usually make better franchise quarterbacks

Which qb was not American?

Winston and the Saints are a complete mystery to me. I have no idea what's going to happen this season.
Nobody does, really.

Conveniently leaves out Jameis' 5000/30/30 season.
As much as Bruce should take the blame for a lot of those picks (I'll point to Manning, Ben, Luck, Brady, Palmer, etc.), he should also get praise for setting Jameis loose and showing what he can do.
Baker has been set loose. He just sucks. Winston can be pretty good if given a real chance. He started to show that before the injury here with Payton, once Payton stopped being too timid with him.
Edit: And yes I get Baker has only played 4 years. So how about instead do career averages or per game stats.
This is the definition of cherry picking.

Mayfield, hands down. That 4 TD difference could mean winning 4 more games this year with the defense the way it is.

JW had one of the best QBR's in the league prior his injury, and that was throwing to scrubs. Now, he has MT, Landry & Olave added to the arsenal.
Baker had OBJ & Landry to throw to but couldn't find them when they were wide freakin' open, as evidenced by OBJ's dad's video compilation of Baker's low-lights. A shoulder injury doesn't excuse wrong dumb reads.
I'll take Jameis.

Brees has worse stats than both of them, his first four seasons.
