He'll be, at minimum, a very good receiver that makes 5 mill per year for the next 4 years. Which is great because very good receivers are currently signing deals at 25 mill per year. This is why he was an excellent draft pick.

That's where I'm at. He's virtually already a hit as far as a draft pick goes. What will take him to top 15-20 WR in the league status is if he can be explosive and separate at the top of his routes. He's silky smooth, everyone knows that. He has long speed everyone know that as well. Can he add the suddenness factor to his game a la JJets? If so, or if he even gets close, his ceiling is definitely close to a Calvin Ridley.

Want to bet on that?

I think this is a great comparison, and after the team drafted him and showed his route running, Ridley was one of the first names to pop in my head

Ridley had more pop out of his breaks when he came out compared to what Olave has right now. That is the only negative I have on Olave. The question isn't if he's going to be good or not. It's if he jumps from being a dude to being a man.

If CGM13 is back, he's gonna have a lot of opportunities, because you HAVE to double Mike. I think Olave could easily get 1,000 yards, 8 TDs this year.

Olave is not going to have more production than Jarvis.

I think that some people aren't aware yet of the nightmare that this receiving group presents with the addition of Jarvis Landry to this team. You can't leave Thomas or Landry in single coverage for long or they will eat you up. You have to at least have someone to assist with their coverage. So potentially all we need to do is keep the chains moving until you catch the defense sleeping on the long game and take your shot. This has got to be a nightmare scenario for any def. coordinator.

I was pissed draft night

same here.

given the history of this team since I've followed them, I find it warranted.

that is also unfair on my part to mix in what happened back then to what happens now on a day-to-day basis NOW but...

Single him up every play and MT will set another record for catches in a year.

Remind me of Wes Chandler. But I’m and old dude so some might not remember how smooth he was. One of the best Saint and Charger receivers ever.

Look what J. Chase did for the Bengals offense. Olave could have a similar impact, especially with Thomas coming back.

Wtf? Chase was widely regarded as a can’t miss generational WR. I do think Olave can have a big year, but not on the Chase/Jefferson level.

Olave was the safe good pick at WR. And he didn't play college ball with JW. Both Chase and Joe are special. Few are.
