I’d take Gibbs, trade Kamara for more picks to build for the future( if possible), sign Dalton for one more year . We are in full rebuild mode now gotta have picks, Kamara isn’t winning us a SB by being the best player on a bad team. We need young RBs I’d dump Ingram too

We'll probably trade up like we always do.

Trade down. Acquire more picks for 2024 and start your rebuild there. DA is hopefully gone by then as well.

An elite coach that didn't want to be here anymore and wasn't going to coach for us no matter what. The choice wasn't an elite coach or what we got. It was nothing or what we got. We weren't ever going to get anything better.

My thought is we traded an elite coach and a 3rd round pick for two 2nd round picks

You mean an "elite" coach who was never going to coach for us again?

People have somehow convinced themselves that the Saints held all of the bargaining power when they very clearly didn't.

End of first round I think starts to shift into best player available territory. Hope someone drops.

No. We traded him for a first we didn't have, and bettered our 3rd rounder to a 2nd. That's what happened. Also sending him to the AFC.

Denver has to hire someone. They already fricked around hiring Hackett to try and get Rodgers. They going to whiff on b2b hires? I'm not sitting here thinking the Saints should get the two 1sts, but the 1st they got is late. The 2nd who knows. I just don't see why the Saints needed to include anything. I'm no GM and it's just an opinion.

Who does Denver hire once they lost Ryans? They committed all their resources to Wilson. Wilson was begging for Payton. I just don't think a 3rd was necessary to get this done after all that has transpired.

We say trade down almost every year. How often have the Saints ever traded down early on? My memory is trash, but it seems like we are much more likely to trade up. Not saying I agree with it. I wish we would accumulate more picks. It's why I am disappointed we gave up the 3rd.
