The Saints of the past few years would have lost this game. Bad weather conditions, 2 turnovers inside of scoring range, offense underperforming, and calls not going our way. But these Saints overcame the obstacles and fought their way to a win. The D played great in the 2nd half and the O was very efficent. Good halftime afjustments made the difference here. Awesome game team! DILLY DILLY!

This team reminds me of 2006

Offense is very good but not high octane like 09-11

Very competent defense

All pro production out of our top DE/CB

This team reminds me of the '89 Niners.

You DO realize that we played against a QB making his first ever start, right?

Let’s get to 6-2 and I’ll agree

Go look at how the Saints usually do when QBs are rookies or are making their first start. Don't belittle their win. They went into one of the most legendary stadiums and beat a team that always seems to be in it.

So we're still doing this? 1st it was, they need to get to .500 and we have a shot. Then it was, they need to get above .500. Now it's 6-2? What's after we're 6-2? They need to go 14-2 before you're on board?

This. I'm not getting my hopes up because I still think we're another piece or two away from being a complete team. We're still not super stout against the run and our offense tends to bog down at times. Snead coming back will help a bit, but ground and pound make me nervous.

Nah, if they went 14-2 then the saints would have to win the super bowl for some fans to be on board. Even then they would criticize the team because the entire NFL was down.

Why is this so unreasonable?

The Saints have earned this mistrust. I’m on board at this point but the blind belief on this board after the past several years is frankly bizarre.

If anything, Saints fans should be understanding of skepticism.

I think this is fair. I like our running game since Armstead has come back, & we do need another weapon in the passing game (hopefully Snead can solve that problem). After all, Snead is a monster on 3rd down & Brees trusts him.

Our pass coverage & pass rush (we only got 1 sack today I think, but we put a bunch of pressure on Hundley) has really been getting it done the last 4 games. Our run defense was doing great as well, but Green Bay kind of exposed us today. If we can stop the run going forward...I really like our chances.

Overall, this team is pretty complete & can play in any kind of game with any team in the league.

Only complaint I initially had was Sean honestly.

I don't know if I am being irrational or expecting something beyond my means...

However somewhere inbetweeen 2011-12 we became offensively predictable. It showed up today when we went stagnant.

We had success with Ingram/Kamara in the passing game and it wasnt until it was blatantly stopped repetitively that we went to spreading it out and attacking again.

One of our TDs exploited this. The Coleman double move TD was a running heavy package that surprised the D. So while I want to rip Sean for prior mistakes he adjusted, and attacked the very thing I wanted to attack him for. 2017 is shaping up to be special.
