This picture is why you don't play zone defense at the end

Lol they didn’t have time to lineup and spike it. It was TD or game over

That's assuming Diggs gets out of bounds. He had no control of where he would go had Marcus Williams waited for him to catch it and then wrap him up.

or if he was aware of the clock he would know all you gotta do is tackle him in bounds and the game is over

not if Williams makes the tackle in bounds... which he probably would have done if he wraps up instead of dives

those 6 seconds on the clock run out before MIN can clock it

He's getting OOB there.

You can't have guys doing nothing in the middle of the field. You run man with zone over the top if you're not going to being pressure.

If he's tackled in bounds the game is over.

6 seconds left. He catches the ball and gets hit immediately like any other normal play, he falls down in bounds. They don’t have enough time to clock it.

Besides, even if he did fall out of bounds, there’s still a chance of blocking the field goal or the kicker missing a 50 yarder under that much pressure.

Wrong. Tackle him and no way they get off another snap

4 seconds left when he caught the ball. The game was gonna be over if he's tackled in bounds.

if Williams wraps up around Diggs' legs and drives him straight to the ground... he's clearly inbounds and the clock expires

That pick is indicative of Marcus Williams not understanding the situation.

Crawley is playing the outside. Williams is not. Now, the throw was a lollipop so he still had time to get there and make the tackle. But, you are right that the image shows a problem.

I'm with Slackster in doubting whether we could have tackled him in bounds without his momentum carrying out of bounds. Williams would have needed to be standing on the sidelines to try and tackle him back towards the field.
