jazzy:

The #Saints are ranked No. 2 in the NFL in total offense and No. 3 in scoring offense, making them one of just 3 teams (JAX, MIN) ranked in the Top 10 in the league’s four major statistical categories.

Having an actual running game is messing with my perception of reality. Drew's stats are weak as far as Drew stats, but they are still getting it done.

This team

No, the fact that Payton can now run a conservative, balanced offense is making us look less effective. We are used to running plays being net negatives, so it is fricking with our brains watching these last 7 games.

You're pretty useless.

This defense has been lights out, and I think it's easy to overlook that the offense is still a good unit. Especially with breauxmeaux's weekly Drew piss fest.

s this rejuvenated defense making the offense look not as effective?

TIL running the ball isn’t considered offense.

It's certainly not offense we're used to. We've had to survive with Brees putting up 450 yards and 4 td's for so long, it's weird that at this point in the season he's only sitting at 13 td passes. But we're at a point with this defense that we can afford to commit to the run.

As of the last couple of seasons, Drew's inflated stats just basically meant he had to throw it all over the field just to keep up in the game. Now we can do what we want.

I'd like to see an improvement in the red zone, but I'm confident that will come in time.

I think the offense is just as great but in a different, but honestly better way.

Had Drew thrown for 6TD yesterday everyone would think our high flying offense is back and we're so explosive, etc.
The fact that we ran for 6 has the same exact outcome but honestly, is even more impressive. If you can impose your offense on another team like that while still having the ability for Brees to throw, that's an insanely difficult thing to defend.

And it's going to open up the world for this passing attack with Ingram and Kamara shredding everyone.

24 straight runs. Holy shite

You’re OP makes zero sense and deserves no validation. I agree with LE’s reply of “wut”.

Fox Sports had a stat that the Saints coming into the game were like 28th in number of Offensive possessions but they were still in the Top 10 in yards, scoring, time of possession, etc..

That stat was eye opening to how dominant this team really is now. They are playing very efficiently. They need to clean up the turnovers in the red zone. So, they still have put together a perfect game. But they are close.

We are literally taking teams souls one game at a time.

Literally sending them to the pit of misery.

Only twice in my lifetime I have seen this Saints team do it like this.

2009 & 2011.

Even during the dome patrol days, we had a shite offense that when the real games came up, we sat down.

I repeat THIS TEAM IS TAKING SOULS.

There should be a fark already.

Only difference is we have a defense that can actually stop people. The '09 unit got by on so many turnovers but was still giving up tons of yards. I don't want to even talk about '11. But getting offenses off the field in 4 plays and letting our offense grind the opposing defense into the ground.........it's great to watch.

And this also means drew's arm will be well rested for a playoff run. Him not having to do it all is going to be such a blessing.

Sic edited his OP because it made no sense. But you’re a part of the Facebook generation that jumps to conclusions without context.

There is another stat, points per drive, that I can't remember where I found it. We were 1 or 2 a few weeks ago in that. I'm sure were higher than that now. Like -3 or something. We're breaking the stats.

I know that but if you're going to tell someone that something doesn't makes sense, then what you tell them should make sense.
