But Geno Smith is better than what we have at quarterback right now. Especially if Allen goes back to Winston..

I’d take Winston, Dalton, and maybe even Taysom over Geno Smith.

Recency bias is strong with this take.

Well Geno Smith is having himself a nice year while the Saints are still trying to figure out what they are doing at QB

He has played well this year. Tough one vs 49's but easy to do this year so far.

Has thrown over 1k 6tds and 2 ints with a 108 qb rating and can run.

Now do Winston’s numbers. The eye test for him is even worse than his numbers indicate if that’s even possible.

You seriously think Geno Smith is better than Andy Dalton?

You need professional help.

Geno smith set an nfl record for highest completion % through 4 games. So yeah, he is better than dalton and Winston at 100% dweebs.

You’re really making your argument based on a sample of 4 games. Again, recency bias.

Look at their careers:
Geno- 40 TD, 39 INT, 79.5 rating
Jameis- 139 TD, 96 INT, 87.5 rating
Dalton- 227 TD, 135 INT, 87.1 rating

All 3 are very comparable in terms of career completion percentage (though Geno does rank last among the 3).

Specific to this year, you’re giving no credit to Seattle’s pass protection and run game, both of which are objectively better than ours. That matters. Seattle ranks in the top 5 for fewest sacks allowed, we rank in the bottom five. Not to mention scheme, playcalling, health etc.

I’m not saying I’m thrilled with our QB situation because it’s simply not good, and Jameis is certainly not the guy, but cmon man.

On the flip side yiu also fail to bring up how awful Seattles defense is and Geno is under constant pressure to score. Kinda like the prime Brees years.

This is Something Winston has not had to endure all season because our defense kept it close and he did absolutely nothing with the advantage.

And you saying Seattles backs are better than Kamara? And Im the one who needs to quit drinking lol?

I am not, but I am saying their run game is better. Statistically it is, and Rashad Penny has lead the league in rush yards dating back to Week 14 of last season.
