This is really a Pete problem.

His entire career he has only coached Brees as a QB (Pete was in an assistant in SD before NO) and only been a high ranking coach in Sean’s system. He knows nothing else.
Sure he’s putting in his own stuff in now but it’s stuff that he has never put in action in an actual NFL game (dont count bounty gate year). That makes him not qualified. And it’s clearly showing.
The NFL is hard and you have to have the players believe in your system. When it’s not truly your system it’s hard for them to really really buy in.

I actually like the playcalling these last 4 weeks better than anything I've seen since 2018.
CSP put unnecessary restrictions on the use of our best weapon TH7.
Playcalling isn't the problem it's mostly bad luck, diva players (poor leadership from CDA) and injuries

Allen can be the solution to the Pete problem. Hopefully he starts fresh next year with new QB and OC. Then it’s his fixed problem. And if it doesn’t work. Then it’s his job.

It’s really a Loomis problem.

Carmichael just doesn’t have that forceful personality that a good OC needs to rally his players. He enjoys being the guy behind the scenes. He could have taken countless OC jobs under Sean but he liked just having a comfortable job with job security because he knew Sean really ran the show he just helped.
