OMG...OMG. criticize brees. Treason. Blasphemy.
I prefer objectivity and to protest problems as I see them.
He did look like Brooks today with so many questionable throws. Does that mean he is Brooks? Of course not but today he was.
Too many people here would doth not protest, even if they're in a prison cell getting sodomized perpetually, for fear that it shows weakness. Be strong then, don't show weakness, but know you have a cock in your arse and that won't change.

I'm not reading this thread, but you're an idiot, this game is on the offensive line completely.

we are wasting our window away and keep peddling that same shite talent on D year after year.....
its not just about effort, or cliches, or scheme, you need talent
Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
This loss was all on the O. Primarily the line. The D didn't do very well either, but they were on the field for most of the game and eventually wore out. Hell, the D actually generated a turnover AND 4 sacks. This can hardly be placed on the D.

I never post on this board, but I just wanted to stop by and say you're a dumbass. This game was on the O-line, not Brees. That is all.

Brees deserves part of the blame, but be serious. This game isn't all on him. They couldn't run the ball. Receivers couldn't get open. The defense gave up huge plays and dropped what should have been sure INTs. Special teams couldn't stop a punt from being blocked. The Saints were beaten soundly today, but don't put it all on Brees.

Even if he had a horrible game, there's no way he has disgraced this team. Threads and posts such as yours really portray the poster as the worst kind of dumbass football fan.

we wasted two years back in 07 and 08, which is why we finally fired gibbs and hired williams. i do not want to see brees' talent wasted either. we were lucky and fortunate we went 11-5 last year with No run game. we best get one going this year if we want to win something big like 09. it appears it will be tough just going 11-5 this year like last year.

agreed. we need improvement at all positions on D especially front 7! nothing new there.

Any player is subject to criticism. But criticism only means something who a)has a modicum of knowledge about the subject and b) who isn't hysterical. Sorry, you fail on both counts.

You don't have objectivity.

You should have a drink . . .a valium . . . whatever . . . to to bed. If you are still talking this way in the morning, seek therapy.

you are delusional if you think giving up 24 pts to the rams is acceptable. delusional
Defense didnt play great but they weren't terrible. Offense put them in a lot of bad positions.
Rams scored numerous times on a short field.

Although Brees did not play to his full potential, he is the least of our problems.

this game is not on the defense. at all. stopped them more than enough to give the offense opportunities.
Jackson ran for 159 yards and 2 TD's. There is no way you can say they shouldn't take some of the blame bro. The special teams share blame as well. That blocked punt gave them excellent field position and Kasay missed a FG. The kick return game was also poor.

To blame Brees is probably the dumbest thing anyone can say, I blame the O-line more than Brees, and on the 4th down plays, I think everyone besides the coaches/players knew that Jackson was getting the ball. There's always room for improvement and as of right now we are still 1st in the NFC South. There is still half the season left to play and in the NFL ANYTHING can happen.

All games on Brees unfortunately. The last two seasons, the All-NFL sub-six-footer has had to carry the team anvil(aka the Saints mediocre D) on his back. This regression has been in progress for a few years.
Saints still a NFC Top 5ish team, and NFL Top 12ish, but just like the rest, a clear notch below GB, and not prepared to best them at Lambeau in December.
To win the West and go 10-6 or 11-5, would be a great season. Any playoff win(especially on the road), would be a remarkable season for this squad.
At least the AFC Champ will get a few weeks to prepare, and a neutral field to work with, when facing GB.
