Do you think Sean Payton would be interested in Carr?

Sad thing is even if he is the next Mahomes we wouldn't know. Dennis Allen would rather stay driving his 88 Civic and when the wheels fall off of that he will jump in his new Ferrari and stay in first gear.

Only if he takes Allen too in a package deal.

I don't know that he's going to be Mahomes-level good, but I do think he's gonna be the starter in a couple years.

Dude's got starter talent and an attitude on the field, he's already pushing to be QB2... and he's a rookie 5th rd draft pick.

I am not a Saints optimist by any stretch.

Rattler excites me. He was a fantastic pick.

I think he’ll take over mid season.

If he is the Saints future, we are officially dead

He has more presence than any other non-starter I’ve seen out there in a long time. Seemed to handle the pressure well. Good escape ability. Nice throws. But also he was playing against next month’s insurance salesmen. Excited to see him progress.

There are some (like me) who think that the kid definitely has some talent that could possibly be developed into a starting quarterback.

That said……there is definitely some cultish like behavior about him on here, and it’s odd. I do hope he develops into AT LEAST a solid backup in the league……that would be a win for a 5th round pick.

I wouldn’t go that far, as I said above…..the kid is immensely talented. His arm talent is damn impressive and he moves really well in and out of the pocket. Rattler’s problem has always been consistency…..that can be developed.

He could very well DEVELOP into a solid starting QB (with even more upside)……key word develop. Expectations DEFINITELY need to be tempered though lol

If he doesn't pan out, it won't hurt my feelings.

But I find it odd that he was a 5th rd pick, and I think the Saints really lucked into something here. People seem to forget he was 1st team All Big 12 his first year at Oklahoma and a Heisman favorite, they focus on him getting beat out for the starting spot halfway through the next year. They ignore the fact that it was by Caleb fricking Williams, who went #1 overall; and that their numbers and production were roughly equal that year.

Rattler went from being a 1st rd pick, to forgotten.

What if he throws a pick against SF? Will the doom and gloom be out with pitchforks? He's a rookie.

SF is a much better team than we are. We might look worse than we did vs the Cards.

Come on now . Carr is mediocre. Heath Shuler is the worst QB that ever wore the Saints uniform IMHO.

Ok, I'll play.

"I'm sorry for doubting your greatness, Mickey. 3 Spencer Rattler preseason drives and it's apparent he's the Messiah!"

Now, where's my apology for Peyton Turner, Foskey, and Penning?!
