There's no way I can blame the defense.

Out of any unit in the NFL our defense plays with the thinnest margin of error. If the offense or special teams are not putting them in a horrible situation then the refs are going to screw them.
Look at this game fumble right before half, punt return fumble, punt coverage allow a successful fake punt, kickoff coverage team starting the Vikings at the 45, then the refs walking the Vikings down for the go ahead touchdown. I'm waiting for Cam to snap after how many of his great performances have been screwed over throughout his career

They aren't above criticism. They were horrible against the falcons, and they've allowed answers to scores quite often the last 2 weeks

Defense isn't as dominant as it has been the last 2 seasons, they are still lightyears better than this putrid offense though.

The one bad play in the 4th quarter was the long reception to Jefferson & that was aided by a shite play call by Dennis Allen there.

They gave up the inexcusable long td pass to panthers last week after we got back in game too

Allen has developed into a good defensive coordinator over the last few years but I just wonder how much effect of him being the HC now has been a negative on his ability to solely focus on the defense for game day preparation & in game play calling.
The decision to have Lattimore one on one with Jefferson with no help over the top on the final Vikings drive, while Jefferson was beating Latt consistently all game long, was beyond dumb. You have to make Cousins get in FG by earning it & forcing them to execute perfectly every play. Keep everything underneath. You don't provide them with an easy chunk play opportunity in that situation there like DA did. I don't think some posters realize just how dumb of a play call that was by DA in that situation.

I absolutely blame the defense for failing when it matters. This team lets down in all three phases
