This is noteworthy because the New Orleans Saints, as we know, somehow won Super Bowl XLIV.
1st paragraph. "somehow". Pffft. I stopped reading right there. I knew what this guy was spewing.
In case Mr. Bradley missed it. Here's how the Saints "somehow' won the Super Bowl
- Sweeping the mighty Falcons
- Beating the Pats by 21
-Beating the Giants by 21
- Beating the Eagles by 26
- Winning 13 reg season games
- Beating the Cards by 31 in the playoffs
- Beating Warner, Favre, and P Manning in successive games
- Scoring 107 Pts in 3 playoff games
- Fighting back from a 10 pt deficit in the Super Bowl
- and generally being by far, the class of the NFC South
That's how

The Saints weren’t that much better than the Falcons a year ago, and this time they won’t be as good.

More great stuff from Falcons Board
LOL, they're making plans for how they're gonna handle their success.

I love how one poster claims that if the Falcons were healthy, they would have swept us last season. I guess they like to forget that WE were less than 100% in both games, as well.

I'll admit the Falcons played us fairly well last year, but the Falcons love from a lot of the media (not just Atlanta) is ridiculous. Look at the rosters, Gonzalez is better than Shockey, Abraham is a little bit better than Smith, and Weatherspoon will probably be better than Shanle (LBs transition to the NFL easily). The only major advantage they have is Babineaux is significantly better than any of our DTs. I'd say if I were putting together a starting lineup comprised of both teams, 17 of the 22 would be from the Saints.

What would you rather have boys and girls... a opening day win vs. the V'kings or a sweep of the fal cons?
I'm going to Minnesota the weekend after the opening week so a part of me wants a Minnesota beatdown but Falcons fans are my most hated fanbase and they're in our division so give me a sweep of those crybabies anyday. Of course with our team getting both isn't out of the question.

Abraham isn't better than Smith. I would have them as a push at this point.
I would LOVE to have Babineaux on our team. shite, he has the right kind of name to live in South LA already...

I don't agree. Smith is a bit overrated right now, IMO. A lot of blitzes took up blockers + an elite secondary helped give Smith more time, luxuries Abraham didn't have this season. Again, I still think Smith is pretty good and the only significant advantage they have is with Babineaux (and, if things unfortunately go as I think, Jerry will be a fricking monster next to him, though that would give them a pretty undersized pair of DTs that would likely be vulnerable to the run), but I do think Abraham is still better.

I work with a Falcons fan. The guy is as delusional as they come. He's already inducting Matt Ryan into the Hall of Fame. I keep trying to remind him that Ryan isn't even in the same league as Brees but he's a Falcons fans so there's only so much I can do.

I've seen that clip many times, but that's the first time I noticed that Vilma got away with pass interference.
