There is no guarantee of landing one of next years top QB's. .

The Saints dont have a much trade value with their older more expensive paid players, nor do they have a pile of mutiple draft picks to use to move up the draft board.

The Saints haven't drafted a QB with their number one pick since 1971. 54 years ago.

We don't project to be very good in 2026 either, so that's OK.

Just sign a journeyman off the scrap heap if Ratler is too bad.

If we knock this draft and 2026 out of the water, while shedding cap and avoiding dumb FA moves, 2027 is our first chance of being mediocre again.

55 years later the Saints again take Manning with the 2nd overall pick

Let fans play, when one gets hurt or has had enough, move on to the next one at $5000 a contract. May would still be cheaper.

He's not coming out next year. 2027 most likely.
