It is when all you're doing is trying to make the trade and pick seem worse than it was. Using sentiments such as "costs" and "give away" make your point seem more valid than using "used/picked" and "traded".

Again, another very simple concept.

2 first round cost to us...

you got guys like Carlos Dunlap, averaging 7.5 and 8 sacks a year getting a 15 mill a year 3 yr extension.

Davenport cost of draft value and cap value is tremendously great for our organization so long as he develops and produces.

really, my whole entire point of thread is detailing how really Davenport is tremendous value for us compared to free agency cost of mediocrity at the position. That's really all you took for it was the use of my word costs and want to argue it compared to words like give and used...

you are the only one making semantic arguments over these words.

Says the guy trying to claim that giving is the same as trading (It's not at all). You should probably let this die.

when you trade, you are giving assets to each other. There is no other kind of giving in the NFL except in trades.

To trade and to give are not synonymous with each other.

I love how the quote you used alludes to them giving up a single pick, and not two.

Interesting.

ETA: The article incorrectly using the phrase as well doesn't make it synonymous with trade either, by the way.

not really.

The acknowledge the swap of picks which is fine and accurate but more accurate was them saying the value of the pick in 2019 is yet to be determined since the 2018 season has to be played.

No they don't. There's a ton of articles that all interchange the words give, gave, swap, used, etc. You said i'm trying to play a semantics game when it is you and only you.

Swapping =/= giving, by the way.

Difficult to do when it's built on semantics and turn of phrase.

Let's just leave it at you're right and the dozens of people that point out why you're wrong are just stupid. That was the best argument you've made so far.

If Davenport becomes an All Pro DE, it wont matter what we gave up.

Negative. You are arguing semantics with me. I have never instigated the argument over the verbiage of the trade.
