The Saints were dead last in pre-snap motion on offense
Posted by LSUPilot07

This stat alone tells me all I need to know about if a change was necessary. This proves that Pete doesn’t run Sean’s offense or know it. A Payton offense was all about motion and getting favorable matchups but Pete just runs base offense 100% of the time. Our offense is bland and predictable. The guy didn’t even want the OC or to interview for head coaching jobs back in the prime Brees-Payton years. That says it all about who he is. He was Ali g for the ride and now he has to drive the ship and he’s absolutely lost out there. I bet he would have been relieved if he were fired and was probably shocked and frightened when he wasn’t. I hope this is the decision that sends DA and Mickey down the road. It’s time to start completely anew.

Look all of this pre-snap motion and fancy scheming are way too confusing and complicated.
I like going into every Sunday of the season saying to myself, "Here comes another loss." It simplifies my life and reduces my anxiety as a fan.
Since I've reached this point in my Saints fandom, I've never been more happy as a Saints fan.

This has been a great season for Fox to be blacked out in my area, haven’t had to watch any games

our offense was so vanilla. THe only wrinkles we ever had was the few plays we put Hill in and we didn't do that nearly enough.

This was one of the most generic NFL offenses I've seen in the last 10 years. Hell, the winless Browns probably did more pre-snap movement than this team.

Heard a stat this morning on the radio that we only ran 6 screens all season.

Where can this data be found and what did the saints look like last year relative to the rest of the league?

How many of the wins were actually fun to watch, though?

Since the Saints always lose a lot more games than they win, it's a nice fun surprise when some team is actually stupid enough to lose to the Saints.
It's fun to laugh at the Saints when they lose BUT when the OTHER team loses, there's plenty to laugh at as you look at the other team's predicament: "How the hell did we lose to the fricking SAINTS!?:?!!" And then they are all mad and their fans want to fire their coach for losing to the Saints.
Losing football can be fun.

Whether Carmichael knows it or not. Guys like Dalton and Winston are too stupid to run it. That offense was tailored for Brees and he was basically the only one smart enough to run it effectively.
