The Saints should go sign another vet interior OL like Ethan Pocic.

No this isn’t because he went to LSU but rather he’s a veteran backup at center which we need and don’t have. He’s also a versatile player that you can move him around if you need to. I hope Simpkins can become a really good player but I’m not going into the year with him as the backup to McCoy. They for some reason have been reluctant to play Ruiz there, even though that’s the position he played in college. Dillon Radunz is a good start but I want more competition at the RG spot. Maybe we wait to see who gets cut from other teams in camp but we should at least add a vet minimum type player.

I said this exact thing 2-3 weeks ago. I think we need someone that's started at C and G to compete with Ruiz from day 1. Alot of people don't wanna hear it

He’s coming off a torn achilles in December. Probably a few months from being healthy.

Yeah, he may not be able to play until midseason (I don't know the timeline on recovery). However, he and his family live in BR in the offseason. Who knows. Being able to live "at home" during the season as well could provide a little incentive.

They should've just re-signed fortner for 2.5 mil total.

Yes they really fricked it up with not bringing Fortner back. I can’t explain why they let him walk to sign such a small contract with Carolina. He was by far the best interior OL on the team last year and they haven't done shite to rectify his loss unless they like Simpkins or will move Ruiz over.

2 mil in incentives so it’s up to 4.75mil.. and he’s the likely starter so he should hit most of them

That is why. He was signed by carolina before the draft to have a chance to start for them. We have McCoy. So I see why he signed in carolina. I think he can earn up to 4.25 mil with carolina. They lost cade mays.

I did literally make that post like 2 weeks ago, all he had to do was look at it, instead he called me names and told me to frick off....if the last meaningful thing I do on this planet is to show one person there's still consequences to that type shite then frick it, I'll honestly be ok with that.
