The Saints have backed themselves in a corner with drafting a QB haven’t they?

They almost 100% have to use their 2nd round pick this year on a QB now as far as I can see, right? Lots of other positions could use players like at safety and DL but you’ve got to take someone because you can’t go into another year with Dalton or Winston and not have a young draft pick there. I will kiss the ground if Sam Hartman lasts to our pick in the 2nd.

Maybe someone bites on Sean... get a Qb and a safety with first 2 picks

Winston or The Red Rocket are both useless. This is going to take a few years to fix. The so called dynasty that the Saints had from 2006-2020 is gone. It doesn’t exist. Might as well bite the bullets and start selling assets if that’s even doable.

So your solution to the Saints qb problems is to draft a projected late round qb who looks like an NFL backup at best at the top of the second round? And you don’t think he will make it to that pick?

The Saints seem loathe to panic draft its their M.O..
Who knows who will be doing the draft next year.

we dont need a QB, we need a new coaching staff from top to bottom.

if dalton had a healthy team, we would be in the playoffs, the problems on this team are not because of dalton

I’m saying you could trade for a qb instead of drafting one.

Certainly not. They need to use it at a position of need like receiver or D-line. Use all the picks this year on need positions to get ready for 2024 when they draft their QB

Sean drafted a number of QBs during his tenure, none
were any good.He came close with Patrick Mahomes but Payton
didnt keep his interest to himself and Andy Reed got wind of
it and jumped ahead of the Saints and picked him.
The Saints record was to good to pick early enough in the
draft to get a top flight QB.It looks like this year could have posibly been the chance but we traded our pick.Unless
Payton gets another coaching job and we get a #1 pick we are
screwed as far as the draft.

Coulda had Lamar. Saints were one of the teams interested in him. Payton loves him. I think when they traded up everyone thought it was for Lamar.

He drafted 4 in 15 years. The highest one was a 3rd rounder. 2 were 7th rounders.
