New Orleans’s star QB heads into this fall on the heels of one of his least impressive statistical seasons. Is it a sign that Brees is declining?

As far as I got reading one line of that retards regurgitations.

Only in yardage and TD's, which will happen when you attempt under 600 passes for the first time since 2009. His completion % was also the highest of his career. Agreed, dudes a frickin idiot

To be fair to Mays, the first sentence is correct and the second sentence is just asking a question. I think it has way more to do with being ahead more often and having a way better running game than any Saints team in a few years.

agreed, his stats last year were very similar to the 2009 super bowl run minus less TDs.

Brees throws for 5k yards same article was written. Brees loses 3 in a row same article written. Brees leads one of the highest powered offenses same article written.

Its tired, lazy and been written before many times.

That's exactly what I thought. There was nothing in there that hasn't already been written or said on Sunday by talking heads.

Side note: Has Ingram-Kamara been replaced by Kamara-Ingram yet?

So, less attempts. Less yards. Better ypa. Better rating. Still what, top 5 in all major statistical categories?

He's declining!!

Stupid.

That’s not the tone of the article at all though. More like the intro. The article itself basically does nothing but praise Brees.

It was actually a pretty solid article.

quote:

The raw totals seem to suggest that Brees wasn’t the aerial assassin he’s been in seasons past, but that’s before taking the context for those numbers into account. And that context makes assessing the quarterback’s standing heading into this fall all the more fascinating. Ten years after his first 5,000-yard season in New Orleans and nearly a decade after he led the franchise to its only Super Bowl, the Saints are betting big on him again.

The article then goes on to actually take said numbers into context and does it well IMO.

This is ALL broken down in the article and it is highly praiseworthy of Brees.

Again. Maybe actually read the article before getting all defensive and calling someone names. Our fan base likes to bitch at any perceived slight of Brees yet also seems to bitch when he is praised.

Lol.

yeah, maybe just maybe, the article isn't targeted at saints fans, but people who might have seen a statistical decline in brees numbers and might think that he's dropped off, then goes on to say how amazing brees has been.

jesus fricking christ-

post the whole quote...

quote:

New Orleans’s star QB heads into this fall on the heels of one of his least impressive statistical seasons. Is it a sign that Brees is declining? Or is it a reflection of his uncommon ability to adapt?

the article then goes on to make the case that it's the latter. jeez
