Ok with waiting til later for Keiondre Scott or Devin Moore at CB
I'm really high on keionte Scott. He was all over the field for miami last yr.
Imo the saints need to invest in a young safety like Scott, kamari ramsey, or aj haulcy.

What about Mcneil-Warren?
6’4 and is always around the ball.

We have Reid, Sanker, and Blackmon who have and can be starters.
Meanwhile we have McKinstry and Riley who, while both held their own and showed to be capable, are still prone to mistakes in coverage at times, and our "top" backup is a washed up vet journeyman who was good here in his first stint but was quickly benched last year.
You need at least 3 capable corners in this league, so not sure why everyone has been harping on safety all offseason when we have 3 of those and only 2 corners.

Like safety, we have 3 capable starting ILBs for only 2 spots.
If we are talking edge, that's a completely different scenario, and yes we do need another edge/OLB at some point.
After taking WR, our clearest need is CB and nothing else is even close. Then you start looking at a 3rd edge and a replacement for Ruiz and maybe even McCoy and then these other positions start coming up.
But this is the draft so you take bpa if things aren't close.

I pray that Bisontis or Pregnon are rated higher than Ruiz with the Saints.

Totally agree. Biggest need left is CB in my opinion. Then a DE and a guard. But absolutely have to find another cover guy in rounds 2 or 3.

Exactly. Definitely WANT Edge and Guard but they can make it work with Cam and Ruiz for one more year and throw darts on later round guys for those.
CB is the only must left I think. And there should be a really good option there at 42.

I really don't understand why they didn't re-sign fortner.

I didn't realize Blackmon re-signed for 2026. He signed another 1 yr deal at 5.25.
Corner is for sure a bigger need especially with alontae taylor now gone. I just think this is a great draft to get a young safety in Staley's system.
Dt is another need imo.

That's why I also noted that you still do bpa, because that might be a safety, or hb, wr, and anything else.
If they think one of the remaining safeties is a stud and clearly bpa, you go for it.
