What a weird season.

Our offense is just ok compared to most other years.

Our defense is bottom third in the league.

Turnover margin is pedestrian.

Special teams have been good to great.

I don’t get it? But I’m loving it!

What is the key to our record? Somebody help me out.

The stats are deceptive at least half the teams haven't had their bye yet. Our run def. is at the top and very few turnovers so that helps.

Mike Westhoff and Taysom Hill? I think they make a difference.

They really aren’t. That’s the weird thing.

Special teams. We lost 4-5 games in 2016 because of terrible special teams.

Yeah that ~33 PPG is shite

Also, defense is giving up ~22 PPG since week 1. 33-22 = 11 point win on average. That’s why they’ve won 6 in a row

Our offense is top 3 is scoring offense and it’s an offensive league.

I disagree with this completely. I think that our offense is more dangerous and harder to plan and defend than it has ever been. CSP has tailored every game plan, with the exception of the first one, to what is needed to win. I think this has been his best coaching job. He is actively protecting the defense and shortening games. Brees is playing smart and taking exactly what the defense gives him. And then when the D makes plays, you end up with low statistical outputs because of the short fields.

I think that the most unique stat to show our offensive dominance is that Morestead has punted 4 times in October. That’s insane.

I get that, but the numbers don’t add up. That’s why it’s weird. Look it up.

Just a nitpick here but if you are going to take out the first game for ppg against, you'd also have to take out the first game for ppg for.

Only drops it by a point, but like I said just a nitpick.

I don’t necessarily disagree with this. But all of the stats show otherwise. We have definitely been more efficient in other years.

We’re still 8th in total offense.

Oddly enough TB is first in yards per game (7th in ppg) by a good margin (25 more ypg than the Rams), and that's with Winston playing a few.

I think balance is big. I like what Sean is doing. Last year really taught him something I think.

Explain how the numbers don't add up. Look up what?

Brees has #1 rated full-time starting passer rating. Over Mahomes. Only Fitzmagic has a higher rating for a QB.

Kamara and Ingram are both in top 24 rushing yards per game. Kamara has more receiving yards than Calvin Ridley.

Mike Thomas is tied for #4 receptions and #7 in yards per game.

Offense is #9 in yards per game, last in INTs, last in Sacks allowed.

Show us these crazy weird numbers you're seeing.
