The GOAT basically said you’re an idiot if you give up a 2nd Rd pick for Devante Adams

If the saints were offering a 2nd, they'd have him

Hold the line..
Clean up the salary cap, then go after players to get you over the hump.

Or even God forbid spend a few years drafting full classes to increase young, cost controlled depth. Maybe a few injuries wouldn’t be Armageddon in that scenario.

He does have a hurt hamstring so that checks all the boxes for this organization. I can see why the Saints staff would be going hard after him

He is correct. It's foolish to devote that much into a WR. As flashy as they are, they are one of the easiest positions to properly fill. When you invest too much into that, RB or other easily replaced positions you handcuff your team.
These big contracts and trades should be reserved for more important positions that are more difficult to fill with talent such as QB, CB, LT, DE.
You would think we'd have learned our lesson after the goofy Michael F Whitey Thomas contract. Plus it's not as if we are a WR away from the SB. Our WRs are actually pretty good.

The same guy who thought he could plug any player in as QB and still be successful?
I am ambivalent regarding Adams but I wouldn't let the opinion of anyone outside of the organization sway my opinion.
I'd also be on board for hiring Belichick to replace DA.

We need to get our shite together cap space wise before we make any moves. Pathetic we have continued to kick that can down the road.

I dont want that….that would be dumb as frick. 32 year old receiver on a team going nowhere.

Not saying we should or shouldn’t.
And he is the greatest NFL to date.
But he was not a good general manager and his personnel advice is not above reproach.

This would be ANOTHER MISTAKE by this managment.Adams is a
head case and will disrupt things if he doesnt get the ball. The Saints
have enough problems without another one.

The Patriots were arguably the worst WR evaluators of all time when he was there. They got lucky because the Raiders are the fricking Raiders and gave away Moss. They didn’t draft Welker. Edelman was a QB.
ETA: maybe that’s what he means? I won 6 super bowls and have no need for WRs?

6 super bowls wasn’t enough for him to be considered good? You’re a tough critic

The GOAT traded a 2nd for a washed up Mohamed Sanu
There’s a reason he’s unemployed
