If anyone actually thinks this was a bad trade, then I dont know what to tell u, because it honestly isn't bad... U get rid of a guy who is going to want a ton of money next off season and who also doesn't want to be here, and if we did get Butler it might've been only for one season because your not guaranteed that he's going to sign an extension with us, and there was no way we were getting Butler and the 32nd pick so u could've been assed out of Butler and would've traded cooks for just a 2017 3rd round pick... This trade worked for us and honestly we weren't going to get much better and believe what u want but the Titans didn't offer the 18th overall because we would've taken that and ran, y would we pass that up for the 32nd???

I will seed you that it could have been worse because I feel they would have even settled for a 3rd rounded on draft day just to get rid of him.

payton had clearly decided he wasn't having him stay on his team after he went off and was shouting at the coaches

I was initially disappointed but I'm actually pretty surprised we ended up getting a 1st for him now that I think about it. When you think about what Randy Moss went for getting a 1st rounder for a guy like Cooks is pretty good.

I think the biggest reason for the melt is everyone was believing the fake stories about #14 and #18 being offered.

hell they are still out there in denial posting shite about how there is a "part 2" of the deal coming that we "just don't know about the details yet" lol

This deal only works if we draft well.............which means it won't work.

I would have made cooks suffer before i gave him to the pats for free. Bull shite trade there is no silver lining i mean whats the worst we could do another 7-9 season. Cooks wasnt and isnt the problem. Loomis and an egotistical head coach are the problem and their incompetence shows up on the field. IDK how the hell we won a superbowl with these idiots Drew Brees must truly be a great man.

Our track record drafting is spotty. Pick 32 is something the Saints could screw up.

This trade exemplifies why they are winners and we are losers. i don't think anyone could argue that point. We have Drew fukin Brees one of the greatest of all time and we cannot even make the playoffs. Keep on believing in this administration there is a reason we have only been to 1 superbowl

Is this because of the FO? Or the FO in spite of CSP? Or the fault of CSP in spite of the FO? Or both? Or is it all FO now over the objections of CSP? Or bad luck?

Bad Luck- every team has a play or two we have many
CSP- Handling of defense
ML-Handling of everything

Trust me i hope they get it together because i am a fan but when you keep doing the same shite over and over that is a trend and trends usually change with change.

Three losing seasons in a row sucks no doubt.
I wish I could say who's balls were on the rack for the upcoming season but who knows.
We have a aged owner and its what it is for now.
I have hope for next year. I'm a Saints fan after all

Mickey Loomis isn't the problem. He is nothing more than a numbers cruncher and manages the cap. There isn't a single roster move that is made in free agency or draft that isn't approved by Sean Payton. He has been terrible at evaluating talent recently. These roster moves that have failed are on him, not Loomis.
