Terry pulls for the steelers... it's just not mentioned much because FOX mainly focuses on the NFC.

But I love when he goes apeshit for the saints

Did something go wrong with Terry and the Steelers organiztion later on in his career???

I've heard he's only been back there 3 or 4 times since retiring -- and did not attend Rooney's funeral.

That's nothing for football grudges though. Alex Karras left Iowa State in 1958, and has not been back since....

There are some valid exceptions, to be sure.

i agree with the premise of this thread.. i have lived all over the country, and in some places, like Phoenix, i would become a 'fan' of those teams.. but my Louisiana ties always came first..

now, i wonder how many people that say everyone should root for the Saints are also in those 'north louisiana sucks' threads talking shite about Monroe and Shreveport and how they shouldnt even be part of the state..

I have a question. I grew up in New Orleans...was a die Hard Saints fan my whole young life....but then moved to Texas at age 20. Im now in my mid 40s and have lived in Houston for 22+ years. The Saints were still my favorite team until The Texans franchise started (I wasnt an Oilers fan). The Saints are now my second favorite. Am I a Traitor?

Can someone who hasnt lived in New Orleans for almost 30 years be allowed to have a new franchise in their new home town be their favorite? I know that with cable and the internet, you can pretty much still follow a team from another State...but you just dont get to know a team like the one in your own city.

I consider traitors the friends/people I knew growing up in New Orleans who cherry picked winning teams like the Cowboys, Steelers, Dolphins, Raiders, Vikings etc (1970s btw) to be "their" teams. I never understood that.

Oh well...Im wearing some Black and Gold today for my 2nd favorite team...

The North LA sucks threads are in retaliation to the people from the Northern part of LA turning their backs on the Southern part and rooting for the Cowboys...

It's my home state, and that's my team. I absolutely love 'em, and I'm proud of 'em. I want 'em to win so bad I'm scared. I'm petrified."

For all of you fricking traitorous bastards who claim to have no ties to the Saints, even though you are from a place in LA closer to NOLA than Bradshaw grew up in. He is a man who actually had to suit up against the Saints at one point, yet he maintained his loyalty at the end of the day. Those who are LA natives and who claim to hate the Saints or are fans of other teams, shame, shame on you.
Quote sent to all traitorous Cowgirl pussy La. fans.

If you're old enough to post on here, then you're older than the Texans organization. No excuse.

There are some valid exceptions to the rule, and my comment was a reference to some Cowboy assclown from Houma who used fricked up logic to defend his bandwagoneering ways.

pro sports are just so different than college sports

i assume your exceptions include all kids whose parents aren't from LA (who have their own team)

i'd definitely say anybody from western LA has an excemption, from port city to the chuck

but again, pro sports are just so fricked up in terms of loyalty. if you're not from that city or the surrounding areas, ANYWHERE in the country, i could give a shite who you cheer for. professional sports in the modern era define systems that lack loyalty

Why not?...I have a second favorite icecream flavor...car...food...vacation spot...movie...etc. Why not a football team?

You guys take this pretty personally. "OOOOh...dont you dare act like you're as much of a fan as me...not even as close to as much of a fan. In fact you dont deserve to root for any team in the playoffs if they arent your number 1 team. Just sit back and admire our greatness and what great fans we are and how responsible we are for the teams success...cause you see...Im a loser and this is all i have..."

Ok.
