Dude Drew is old as hell, but he's an odd exception. Those two have a lot of similarities with regards to work ethic and character, so I'm not worried. Come end of preseason, people are gonna be so glad we didn't draft a QB

Hill actually looked really good there. Good mechanics, good release. Let's hope he can develop into a reliable backup and continue to be groomed by Brees to take over.

Of all the QB prospects that have come through the building, I think Hill has the best chance at this point to be the darkhorse and pan out.

Brees could be gone in two years or less. He's almost 40. Hill could step in at 29-30 and give us a very solid 7-10 years.

Also keep in mind that Drew didn't start playing for us until he was 27 on a team that SP was just starting to build. I like how that turned out.

None of their teams are even thinking about who their next QB is going to be because of age. Taysom's age is the last concern about him.

None of them were developmental QBs at age 27

How much development do you think he needs? He's been learning from Payton and Brees for over a year now. After this season, that'll be two, so by the time Brees is gone, he'd have at least 2-3 years of development and be a master of SP's offensive system.

Remember the days we couldn't find a QB? We'd have taken a 37 year old QB that had only one year left in him.

Idk? Why hanst 27 year old QB, who played 37 career games in college, not taken a single meaningful NFL snap in a league hard up for QBs?

Dude compared him to Cam Newton and Stafford who went #1 overall. Dalton was 35th overall. Wilson went 75th overall. Cousins went in the 4th but was an actual good college QB. The age comparison is a pretty bad one when these guys had the talent early on and were not developing as 3rd string QBs at age 27
