If they can keep from firing anyone until the season is over then then can fire only Pete, throw him under the bus, and claim that things will be better next year with DA and a different OC.
I'm persuaded by those who say the front office's goal is to not have to cost themselves a bunch of money firing DA before his deal is up and potentially bringing in a new coach who tells them they have to light even more money on fire by getting rid of Carr early.
