I still get a security issue with all links in this thread anyone know of any other way to buy them?
I think I'll wait a few days to see if they get the kinks worked out.

The New Orleans Saints announced today that they've raised nearly $500,000 for those affected by the BP oil spill by selling raffle tickets for a genuine Super Bowl ring.
"We are pleased to offer this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own an official New Orleans Saints Super Bowl XLIV ring," Saints owner Tom Benson said in the team's statement. "This opportunity will allow a fan to share in the greatest moment in our team's rich history and the culmination of our place in the NFL record books as champions. And better yet, it allows the individuals, families and small businesses that are dealing with the fallout of the largest environmental catastrophe in the history of the United States to once again have the promise that people care about them and their futures."
Although BP is supposed to be cleaning up its own mess, the Saints stepped up with this fundraiser to pick up the slack. The ring was donated by Tiffany and Co. and is identical to the rings Tiffany made for players, coaches and staff on the Super Bowl XLIV-winning team.
The raffle will be open until September 9, and the winning ticket will be drawn that day and announced during the Saints' season opener against the Vikings.

* Winner will receive a cash prize in the amount of $2,178.00 to mitigate the Winner's tax liability that results from winning the raffle. This prize is withheld and paid, on behalf of the Winner, directly to the IRS ($1,800.00) and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts ($378.00)

Sweet Jesus – they have already raised almost $500,000!!! That’s great. I had no idea it was doing that well.

So an entry is essentially 10 dollars. Pretty clever way to do it. That gives the impression that you're getting 5 chances instead of just one. However, since everyone has to buy 5, then your odds are the same as if you just bought a single, 10 dollar ticket. So if they've raised half a million, you're looking at odds of 1:50,000. Of course, those numbers are going to increase dramatically once the game gets closer. They're going to raise millions and some lucky SOB is going to get that ring.

I thought the prize value was considered income and thus the US income tax liability, why does MA get a cut? Do they already know the winner is from MA and has to pay MA income tax?

The 1800 is the Income Tax on it. The money going to the State is a sales tax.
