Pure LSU bias

49ers could have staid put and gotten Reid

Just got home, opened this thread, and there's not much else else to say about it. Reid regressed big time last season.

People the draft is a process, and having watched the Saints all my life as a true fan, the way Sean Payton and Loomis have approached the draft has been excellent.

They are going to get valuable players in all rounds and not worried so much about the 1st round myth franchise changer pick.

Watch as these guys do their magic in the 3rd-7th. We didn't need a DT, we got Bunkley and I believe Hicks will really come along this year. We got Martez/Junior at OLB and they are young guys I think will explode. P Robinson got beat a lot over the top and we needed the best S on our board. Great pickup that allows our entire secondary to get better.

People forget who's on their team and how games played out come draft day way too much.

Or waste 1st round picks and get great value from 3-7 and UFAs.

Yeah but as long as you get at least one Pro Bowler and another full time starter/contributor per draft you are doing ok. I don't care if that player comes in the 1st or the 7th.

Colston-7, Evans-4, Harper-2
Bushrod-4
Nicks-5
Morstead-5
Graham-3
Martez-3
and Hicks and White from 2012 draft I believe will really start to blossom this year. Trust Loomis.

Wilson hasn't done a thing. Subtract him for that obvious reason and notice the lack of defense

Trust Loomis.
I trust him to pick 2 players in later rounds that I never heard of that boss.

I have very little trust in picking in the first round.

Wilson has done a ton in the very limited amount of snaps he's had. Very good pressure/snap ratio.

Limited snaps don't paint a complete picture. I have high hopes for him (not so much for galette) but he's not a producer. We don't have one reliable pass rusher

Galette and Butler rated very high in pressures for guys playing more than 25% of snaps. That's clearly enough snaps to judge.

still...drafting any safety in the first round not named sean taylor is a reach

Really? This is you're bullshite reason why you don't like the pick?

Please explain to me how you came up with this insane logic?

Well we only traded one 3rd pick to move up to guarantee we got the highest rated S on our board. Good deal if you ask me.
you dont know if he was the highest oh yall board,of course harbough will say that he was....do you expect him to say we wanted vaccara but settled for reid...they are both first round picks but every mock draft had vaccra the highest rated safety and if they both were there yall would have taken vaccara.

If there is ever an LSU player on the board, even if he never played a down at TS, the Saints need to take that pick.

Well maybe sometimes it's nice to support a player that is from the state instead of picking some arse from Texas. I think he is a good safety but I would rather buy a Ried jersey and cheer for him regardless if he is from LSU he still from Louisiana

LINK

Can cover, will hit, makes plays, can catch (Sharper), Reid could have been our guy IF we could have traded back and got him.

we should clearly only pick players on the team who fit this mold. Drew Brees, an arse from Texas, shouldn't be welcome here. Peyton, Eli, or bust
